| Montenegro Tourism Development Project-MTDP, P093461: World Bank's Project Preparation Mission |

The
World Bank Mission will visit Montenegro in period 28.06.2005. to
4.07.2005.godine. The Mission will be led by Mr. Andreas Rhode, Senior
Sanitary Engineer, and he will be joined by Messrs. Manuel Marino, Lead
Water and Sanitation Specialist; Arben Bakllamaja consultant,
Miroslav Frick operations analyst, Michael Webster assistant, Nikola Ille
Senior rural development specialist , Gennadz Pilich Senior Counsel. The mission continues to conduct the procedure for approval of financing the Montenegro Tourist Development Project - Construction of the Regional Water Supply System for Montenegrin Coast (MTDP, P093461). For
the Montenegro Tourism Development Project, the mission should meet with
PEW Director, the representatives from the participating municipalities
and central government organizations. The mission will also coordinate
with other donors regarding their ongoing and planed activities, related
to the proposed project. In these meetings the mission should: (i) Review the recently by the Government prepared study on the regional water supply scheme for the coast; (ii) Discuss institutional and technical issues regarding the proposed coastal water supply and wastewater schemes, and review the current financial situation of the coastal water utilities, sector policy reform status and legal framework; (iii) Discuss with the central and local government authorities the preparation of all proposed project components, and the required environmental assessment and the monitoring requirement; (iv) Discuss the need for any legal, financial or contractual agreement to secure the sustainability of the regional water supply; Meet with other donors (e.g. KfW, USAID, EAR) while in Montenegro. Within this Agenda in Tuesday 28.06.2005. in Hotel "Avala" in Budva starting from 9.00 AM the Presentation of the Study: »LONG TERM SOLUTION FOR WATER SUPPLY TO THE COASTAL REGION OF THE REPUBLIC OF MONTENEGRO, COST - BENEFIT ANALYSES OF POTENTIONAL ALTERNATIVES» will be held. The Study is prepared by the Economic Faculty - Podgorica and company ITSC Montenegro from Budva. |
